As a guide, we offer same day delivery to Nepean Hospital for orders placed Monday to Saturday, if placed by 2pm. All school deliveries will be delivered before 3pm. Business and residential deliveries will be delivered within business hours. Orders placed prior to 10am in most cases will be delivered before midday. The Nepean Hospital is a 520-bed teaching hospital and regional trauma centre located in Kingswood, 52 kilometres west of Sydney`s central business district, in the Greater Western Sydney region. Providing tertiary referral services for the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District, the Nepean Hospital`s specialty units include intensive care, cardiology, hematology, trauma services, neurosurgery, thoracic surgery, urology, plastic surgery, paediatrics, obstetrics, gynaecology, oncology, and more.
The Nepean Hospital first opened in Penrith in 1860, and contained six beds. The hospital was located in the street now known as Cox Avenue. The hospital moved to its present-day Kingswood site in 1956. Formerly known as Nepean District Hospital, the hospital was renamed Nepean Hospital in 1981. The hospital`s new surgical wards, named East Wing, were opened in 2012 and a multistage redevelopment of the hospital campus commenced in 2019.
Among the various speciality units at the Nepean Hospital are: gynaecology; maternity; emergency; neonatal intensive care; paediatrics; diagnostics; intensive care; surgical; coronary care; rehabilitation; and mental health. The hospital campus also includes a Menopause Service, Tresillian Family Care Centre, Diabetes Service, Nepean Cancer Care Centre and the Wentworth Centre for Drug and Alcohol Medicine. Nepean Hospital provides nursing and allied health training for a number of universities and is a teaching hospital of the University of Sydney.
