As a guide, we offer same day delivery to South Penrith for orders placed Monday to Saturday, if placed by 2pm. All school deliveries will be delivered before 3pm. Business and residential deliveries will be delivered within business hours. Orders placed prior to 10am in most cases will be delivered before midday. South Penrith is a residential suburb located 55 kilometres west of Sydney's central business district, in the Greater Western Sydney region. South Penrith is found between Jamistown to the west and Orchard Hills to the east. Largely a residential area, South Penrith is a separate suburb to neighbouring Penrith, but forms part of the local government area of the City of Penrith.
The area that now makes up South Penrith was home to the Mulgoa people, who spoke the Darug language, prior to European settlement. Pioneer merchant Simeon Lord received the first land grant in the district in 1816. In later decades, it became known as the York Estate and the Penrith and Nepean Jockey Club purchased sections of its land for a racecourse. South Penrith largely consisted of orchards, dairy farms and vineyards, up until the 1970s when the area began to be subdivided. The former racecourse has now been repurposed as Jamison Park.
Jamison Park is located in the suburb's northwestern pocket. Other notable green spaces in South Penrith include Greenway Drive Reserve and Eileen Cammack Reserve, the latter of which is found nearby to Southlands Shopping Centre South Penrith.
